An unworn stainless steel chronometer certified automatic movement Rolex Datejust 41 (126300) featuring a blue baton dial housing a date aperture at 3 O’clock surrounded by a domed bezel on a full retail length stainless steel Rolex Oyster bracelet.
This watch comes complete with its Rolex box, swing tickets and all relevant paperwork being originally supplied as new in 2019.
This Oyster Perpetual Datejust 41 in Oystersteel features a blue dial and an Oyster bracelet.
The light reflections on the case sides and lugs highlight the elegant profile of the 41 mm Oyster case, which is fitted with a Smooth bezel. Aesthetically, the Datejust has spanned eras, while retaining the enduring codes that make it, notably in its traditional versions, one of the most recognized and recognizable of watches.
The sunray finish on Rolex dials is a predominant method in watchmaking of achieving pure metallic colour dials such as shades of silver grey, rhodium or ruthenium. Silver-plating is mostly used as a base layer for the sunray finish, where further colour is added to the prepared dial. Sometimes colours such as champagne are achieved through electroplating with more than half a dozen different metals.
Rolex uses Oystersteel for its steel watch cases. Specially developed by the brand, Oystersteel belongs to the 904L steel family, alloys most commonly used in high-technology and in the aerospace and chemical industries, where maximum resistance to corrosion is essential. Oystersteel is extremely resistant, offers an exceptional finish once polished and maintains its beauty even in the harshest environments.
THE OYSTER BRACELET
The Oyster bracelet is a perfect alchemy of form and function, aesthetics and technology, designed to be both robust and comfortable. It is equipped with an Oysterclasp and the Easylink comfort extension link, also exclusive to Rolex. This ingenious system allows the wearer to increase the bracelet length by approximately 5 mm, providing additional comfort in any circumstance.
THE CYCLOPS LENS
The Cyclops lens is one of the most distinctive Rolex features, and one of the most recognizable. Named after the one-eyed giant of Greek mythology, the Cyclops lens magnifies the watch’s emblematic date display two and a half times for easy reading. Behind the Cyclops, as with every feature of a Rolex timepiece, lies a history of invention, research and development, and the endless search for perfection.
